The most important thing you can do is talk to people. Friends, neighbours, at work, in a queue, whatever. Making climate change and peak oil a normal part of conversation and assuming that people agree with you does more to spread the word than anything else.

DCF survey Dean Community Foods is a community supported agriculture project, based at Ragmans Lane Farm, near Ruardean. They want to find out what people want in the way of veg boxes etc - could you spare the time to fill in their questionnaire?

10:10 If you havent already signed up to 10:10, here's how you start. The idea is that you cut your carbon emissions by 10% in 2010 - with help & support, of course.

Composting - if you cook or garden, you can make compost. And if you don't...

Garden Partners - might be able to find you some space to start growing your own food.

The Forest of Dean Allotments Association - campaigning for more growing space

If you live in the Newent area, you might like to check out Super-insulating Newent - a nationally important pilot scheme

If you are part of an organisation or club, or you just have an idea about something we could do, contact us or come to a core group meeting. We can put things on the calendar, put you in contact with others... but be warned, we don't do things for you. If you want something to happen, you have to get in there and push!
